I agree that ratings mean everything, and so does the “power seller” status. When searching for products for Ebay, I will not buy unless someone is a power seller with at least a 98% positive feedback.

Seems simple enough; tell them exactly what it is, show a good photo, quote the price and include shipping, don’t rip them off, send it first-class with padding.
If you rip someone like me off, you’ll never hear the end of it, from both me, and your bank when they start asking why you have so many contested charges on your record.
I also have a strict rule of only buying from people who can be easily reached through phone, e-mail, or IM. Makes them that much easier to screen.
One thing that has always prevented me from really using eBay is the “package and take it to the post office” part of the transaction. I’ve looked into drop shipping as an option but just don’t know which companies are the reliable ones. As you mentioned in your article, the product has to be good and arrive on time so customers are happy.
